Prepaid Card Terms and Conditions

To use the Service, the recipient must be resident in the Nigeria.

Service

  1. The Service enables you to have an image of your choice (an 'Image') printed on a Prepaid VerveCard.
  2. You can choose an Image from our gallery or upload your own Image.

Uploading your own Image

  1. You can upload your own Image for printing on your Verve Like Me Card only if:
    1. You have rights to use the Image, for example you own the Image or you have permission from the owner to use it.
    2. You have permission from any person that appears in the Image.
    3. You have permission from the parent or guardian of any person under the age of 16 years who appears in the Image.
    4. The Image meets our Image Checking Guidelines
    5. The Image does not contain any computer virus or malicious code.
  2. We will review the image and may reject it if:
    1. It does not meet our Image Guidelines.
    2. Its use would be in breach of the terms of our agreement with you or
    3. We reasonably consider that it is not suitable for use on a Verve card.
  3. By uploading an Image:
    1. You confirm that the Image meets the requirements set out in condition 2.1 above and
    2. You grant us the right to use, modify, print, store and reproduce the Image for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
  4. Uploading an Image from our gallery
    1. You can choose an Image from our gallery and, subject to such restrictions as we may in our discretion impose in respect of selected images for technical or other reasons, may manipulate the appearance of it before submitting it.
    2. All intellectual property rights in the images in our gallery are owned by us or by our licensors and none of these images may be used by you for any purpose other than as an Image on your Verve Like Me Card.

Fees

  1. There is a fee for using the Service or, subject to condition 6.1, for the issue of a Verve Like Me Card.
  2. The cost of the card shall be N1,500 (One thousand, five hundred naira only) subject to 3.4.
  3. A N65 (sixty-five naira only) convenience fee shall be charged on every ATM cash withdrawal. There are no charges to the cardholder for POS and WEB purchases. All other fees applicable to Verve Cards also apply.
  4. Apart from the aforementioned fees, all other fees peculiar to a prepaid card apply also. If we wish to change or introduce a fee or fees in the future, we will change these conditions in accordance with Condition 8.1. We will normally give you at least 30 days' notice of such a change.

Replacing your Verve Like Me Card

  1. You can order multiple Verve Like Me cards using the service with different Images.
  2. If the card is expiring, you can order another and transfer the funds on it unto the new card.
  3. If your Verve Like Me Card is lost, stolen or damaged, we can, on request via the service, replace it with a new Verve Like Me Card with any image.
  4. When your Verve Like Me Card expires, we can issue you with a new Verve Like Me Card with the same Image, subject to the aforementioned conditions herein.

Delivery

  1. We will tell you how long it will take to deliver your Verve Like Me Card when we accept your order and payment is made for the card.

Using information about you

  1. We will collect, use, share and store personal and financial information about you as is necessary in the process of rendering our service to you and in line with Nigerian and International policies and guidelines regarding such information.

Termination

  1. We may suspend your use of the Service or end this agreement with you immediately if:
    1. You breach your agreement with us.
    2. We are required to do so by any party assisting us in providing the service or regulatory body.
    3. We are entitled to do so under any agreement we have with you or
    4. We decide to discontinue the service.
  2. We may suspend your use of your Verve Like Me Card immediately and cancel it if it is brought to our attention that the Image infringes the rights of a third party. However, you may use the Service in such circumstances to order a new Verve Like Me Card. If we receive an allegation that the Image on your Verve Like Me Card infringes the rights of a third party or is unsuitable (for whatever reason) we may suspend your use of your Verve Like Me Card whilst we investigate the matter. We will investigate such an allegation promptly in good faith. We will notify you when we have completed our investigation and either lift the suspension of your Verve Like Me Card or cancel it depending upon the outcome. Our decision in this respect will be final.
  3. Where we withdraw or suspend the Service, end our agreement with you or suspend or cancel your use of your Verve Like Me Card, you agree to return your Verve Like Me Card or destroy it in line with any instructions we give you.

Changing these conditions

  1. We may change these conditions by sending a notification via any or all of the contact channels provided during request for the service, or (if the change is to your advantage) by publishing them on the website. We will normally give you 30 days' notice if the changes we make are to your disadvantage. Without limiting our rights under this condition, a change to these conditions could include the introduction of a fee for the issue of a Verve Like Me Card.

Liability

  1. If you upload an Image that infringes the rights of any other person, you will pay any losses, costs or expenses we (or our suppliers) incur as a result of possession, printing, modification or other use of the Image.
  2. The Image will be printed on your Verve Like Me Card as it is provided to us by you. We will not be liable for the poor quality of the reproduction of the Image to the extent that this attributable to the quality of the original as uploaded by you or for the positioning of the Image on the Verve Like Me Card as a result of the way in which you uploaded or manipulated it.
